Patty Lou Bucey Beagle

PATTY LOU BUCEY BEAGLE, 87, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was born in Steubenville, OH, on September 23, 1937, and raised in Weirton, WV by her late parents Alfred Bucey and Emma Rachel Stewart Bucey. In 1947, she excitedly became the big sister to the late A. Jerry Bucey. In 1967, she married the love of her life, the late Paul L. Beagle. Together they raised their daughters, Sandy and Jenny, designed and built the home of their dreams, and volunteered and served in their community. Patty was a graduate of Weir High School and West Liberty. As an organizer for the Office of Economic Opportunity, she worked tirelessly to empower those in her community from low-income backgrounds. Later in her life she attended the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and became known to parishioners from three different area churches as Pastor Patty. For over 20 years, she served the Lord and his people. She retired in 2008 as the Pastor for Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. While there, she initiated the installation of a labyrinth that is still located behind the church. She was passionate about giving people from all walks of life a place for meditation, contemplation, and spiritual renewal. Patty believed strongly in the power of prayer and hosted a bi-weekly prayer group until July, 2024. She traveled to Ireland many times and loved it more each time. She has a love for everything Irish, which is evident in her many claddagh pieces, Irish crystal and pottery. Her creative talent to make keepsakes for her friends and family kept her very busy. Whether it was making prayer beads, jewelry, baskets, or painting, sewing, or perfecting her photography skills, she did it with love and passion. We will forever treasure those pieces. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. We will miss her hand-made cards of encouragement or celebration with her signature picture on the back of the card and her constant desire for family pictures. She will be lovingly remembered by those she leaves behind on this earth. Daughter, Sandy Beagle Collier, children Emmie Collier and Molly (Ricky) Sokel of Shepherdstown, WV; Daughter, Jenny Beagle Regalia (Robert), children Christopher (Christina) Regalia and their girls, Madison and Maya, and Dillon Regalia and his boys, Bentley and Easton of Shenandoah Junction, WV; sister-in-law Susan Klair Bucey (late A.
