Vera Louise Carroll Teeters Morton

VERA LOUISE CARROLL TEETERS MORTON, 91, of Port St. Lucie, FL formerly of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully April 7, 2025, at Palm Gardens of Port St. Lucie, Port St. Lucie, FL. She was born December 16, 1933, in New Martinsville, WV to the late Claude and Gertie Conley Carroll. She was a graduate of Bethany High School Class of 1951. Vera enjoyed working as a Mutuel Clerk at Wheeling Downs along with several other mutuel clerk positions in WV, OH, MD, KY and FL during her employment, she also worked in retail at GC Murphy Co. in Wellsburg and C&P Telephone Company in Follansbee. She was a member of Women of the Moose #1354, the Wellsburg Brooke County Sr. Center and a volunteer for AARP with several hours. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Verna (Gary) Young. She is survived by her two children, Larry Teeters (Karen) of Wellsburg, WV and Leisa Teeters Fedak (Doug) of Port St. Lucie, FL; two grandsons, Brandon Teeters and Charles Joe Teeters; four great grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Carrollyn, Ashlylne and CJ; her aunt Ann Wandling of Weirton, WV; a niece, Chalon (Brett) Pfiefer of Pittsburgh, PA; and several cousins. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Wellsburg. Respecting Vera’s wishes, there were no services. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family.
