The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley is thrilled to announce the success of its 2025 Match Madness fundraiser, which raised an incredible $173,466.03 to support local nonprofits and community initiatives. This impactful total includes a $20,000 matching donation from Berger and Green, whose generosity helped inspire and multiply community giving.
Match Madness, held throughout the month of March, is a high-energy fundraising event designed to rally community support and boost donations to help meet critical needs across the Upper Ohio Valley. The campaign’s “matching” component encourages donors to give, knowing their contributions will be doubled—thanks this year to Berger and Green’s match.
“We are incredibly grateful to Berger and Green for stepping up and offering such a generous match,” said Staci Stephen, Executive Director of the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. “Their support inspired others to give big, and together, we’ve made a remarkable impact that will directly benefit the people and programs in our region.”
The funds raised during Match Madness will support a wide range of services, from youth programs and food assistance to mental health resources and emergency support for families in need.
Berger and Green, a Social Security disability and personal injury law firm based in Pittsburgh, has a long-standing commitment to supporting communities across the region. Their leadership in this year’s campaign was key to making Match Madness the most successful fundraiser in recent history.
