Elizabeth M. Hoffman

ELIZABETH M. HOFFMAN, 104, passed away peacefully at her home on May 11, 2025. Elizabeth “Betty” was the daughter of Charles W. and Margaret Long Givens. Betty was a long-time resident of Brooke Conty in West Virginia. In 2015 she moved to Blue Creek, OH to live with her eldest son Ellis “Lee” Patterson. Preceding her in death were both of her parents, her first husband Eugene D. Patterson; second husband (and the love of her life) Lawrence Hoffman; sons: Ellis “Lee” Patterson, Vernon Patterson, and Richard “Dick” Patterson; sisters: Goldie Grizzle, Rose Persinger, and Patricia Jeffries; and brothers, Don Patterson and Henry Patterson. Betty has surviving two daughters-in-law, Jane (Hale) Patterson and Judy (Whitmire) Patterson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m., at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Russ Archey officiating.
