Joann Myers

JOANN MYERS, 81, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, with her family by her side at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Wheeling, WV. She was born on December 6, 1943, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Silvers) Kerns. In addition to her parents JoAnn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James “Jim” Myers; and one sister, Dorothy Kerns. JoAnn graduated from Follansbee High School and was Christian by faith. She worked at Fishers Big Wheel until they closed then worked at Kroger as a clerk. JoAnn enjoyed bowling and gardening in her spare time and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one son, James’s “Bill” Myers and wife Denise of Wellsburg, WV; one daughter, Penny Myers; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Brandon, Danielle, Brittany, and Jessica. There was no visitation. All services and interment were held privately at the convenience of the family at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee.
