2025 Community VBS to be Held

Several Wellsburg churches are working together to offer a Vacation Bible School program. The event will be held from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. on June 9, 10, and 11 at the First Presbyterian Church of Wellsburg on the corner of 9th and Charles Street.
VBS is open to preschool children (age 4) through entering sixth grade. The program this year is “IN YOUR ELEMENT!” a sports camp with Jesus.
Join us each morning for breakfast, followed by hearing experiences of various athletes who share skills in their sports and strength in their faith. Students will share Bible stories about Peter when he was called to follow Jesus and join his team. Jesus helped Peter relate to the five “P’s” that athletes often face. (Jesus helped Peter in his life to discover his Purpose; how to Practice and grow in faith; to find his unique spot or Position; how to handle Pressure and failure; and with the help of the Holy Spirit reach his full Potential. Students learn that Jesus can help them in the same way.
Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, June 9. You can also get pre-registration forms at the Wellsburg Library or from the following supporting churches: Wellsburg United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Community of Christ Church, and Franklin United Methodist Church.
