Beth Ann Barrett Anderson

BETH ANN BARRETT ANDERSON, 63, passed away on May 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Beth was the eldest child of Joanne and Jim Barrett. She was an amazing big sister to Kathy Barrett, Mike (Marie) Barrett, and Lora (Mike) Underwood. Beth married David Anderson on September 6, 1980, and became a step-mom to David “Chip” Anderson Jr. and Becky (Bill) Conley. They built an amazing life together and added Amanda (Mike), Blosco, Jennifer (Ryan Andrus), Anderson (and Linsey (Adam) Russell to their family. Once her children were in school, Beth returned to college, graduating from West Liberty University, becoming a licensed social worker. She retired from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources as an adoption specialist in 2020. Beth was the proud grandmother of 12- Betty Mae Moorehead, Alexia Stevens, Maelynn Anderson, Taryn Resseger, Sydney Anderson, Thomas Davidson Jr, Aliveah Davidson, Bryson Conley, Daven Davidson, Jayce Anderson, Katalaya Russell, and Zane Andrus. Beth was kind, compassionate, loving, and above all else, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She showed her girls how to be strong. She showed them how to be a great mom. She dedicated her life to others. Always there to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, wipe away tears, and give the best hugs. Beth showed up; Always. Her impact on the lives she touched, both professionally and personally, will outlive us all. She created and nurtured a family that will feel this loss forever. We will carry her memory forward, living life just as she did- loving and caring for all of those around us. Beth leaves behind her husband of 44 years, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces Eileen Barrett and Emma Underwood, and Aunt Jeanne Barrett. Beth was preceded in death by her parents and Uncle Bill Barrett. If you would like to honor Beth’s life, please consider donating in her name to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center or Amedisys Hospice. Both provided excellent care, and our family is forever grateful. Beth’s request for cremation has been honored. She was cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Crematory, Weirton.
