Violet “Viola” (Lauri) Martino

VIOLET “VIOLA” (LAURI) MARTINO, 92, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Golden Oaks Residential Board and Care with her family by her side. Born October 6, 1932, in Colliers, WV a daughter of the late Innocenzo Lauri and Florence (Barbarine) Hall. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank Joseph Martino on February 24, 2017, her sister, Mary Tennant, and two brothers, Rudolph and Gasper Lauri. Violet graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1950 and later retired from Mondi Bag formerly Westvaco where she worked as a feeder. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg. Surviving is her loving husband, Frank Anthony Martino at home; her devoted daughter, Christine Kadlic and husband, John of Powell, OH; two grandchildren, Madison (Austin) Crow and Sidney Kadlic and companion, Brianne Beronilla; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Funeral Liturgy of the Word was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the funeral Home, with Rev. Father Justin Golna as celebrant. Interment followed in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg. Condolences may be left at www.mullenbachfh.com.
