Bert Reid “Rock” Furioli

BERT REID “ROCK” FURIOLI, 69, of Wheeling, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at his home. He was born on April 17, 1956, in Wheeling, WV a son of Marilyn Mary Lou (McCombs) Furioli of Wellsburg, WV and the late Bert Franklin Furioli. Bert graduated from Brooke High School in 1974 and graduated from West Liberty State College in 1981 with bachelor’s degree in English. His career in communications led him to work for WTOV 9 where he worked as an engineer and later for WK radio station. He retired from Mineral Labs in Martins Ferry, OH where he worked in the lab testing coal and other minerals. His passion in life was music and theater having done thousands of plays with the Mystery Theatre Unlimited in Wheeling, WV. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three siblings: Kirk Steven Furioli and Lisa (Daniel) Diserio, both of Wellsburg, WV and Christina Furioli of Orlando, FL; five nieces and nephews: Kirk Anthony Furioli, Erika Lynne (Sam) Mack, Anthony Ryan McArthur, Katie Elizbeth Diserio, and Daniel William Diserio; two great nieces, Ava and Gianna Mack; and several cousins and many friends. Visitation for Bert will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 6 p.m. until the time of his celebration of Life service at 7 p.m., at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment will be held privately in Brooke Cemetery, Wellsburg.
