Dorothy Marie (Miller) Lancaster

DOROTHY MARIE (MILLER) LANCASTER, 85, of Wellsburg, WV passed away on Friday June 6, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Dorothy was born on October 12, 1939, in Wellsburg WV to the late Arthur and Wilma (Herrington) Miller. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Ervin Lee Lancaster, One son Bruce Lancaster, one infant grandson Joshua Isinghood, one infant great-grandchild Illyria King, One son-in-law Terry Smith Sr, one brother Arthur Miller Jr and one infant sister Margaret. Dorothy was a faithful member of the Wellsburg Church of Christ. She could always be found singing a hymn, reading her bible or writing poetry. She was also a member of the Brooke County CEO Homemakers club for several years. Dorothy is survived by six loving and devoted children: Lora (Late Terry) Smith of Iowa Falls, IA, Vickie (Chuck) Isinghood of Wellsburg, WV., James (Hope) Lancaster of Iowa Falls, IA, Randy (Kim) Lancaster of Weirton, WV., Susan (Aaron) Mahan of Weirton, and Steven (Melissa) Lancaster of Beech Bottom, WV; and one daughter-in-law, Lourdes Lancaster of Wellsburg. She was also a loving and devoted grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with three on the way, two step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg, and again Wednesday, June 11, 2025 until the time of funeral services, with Minister Jay Stevens officiating.
