Elizabeth “Jane” Miller

ELIZABETH “JANE” MILLER, 66, of Toronto, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born on November 12, 1958, in Weirton, West Virginia, she was one of eight children of the late Alex and Theresa (Zdinak) Sabol, Sr. On July 9, 1978, Jane, as she was known by many, married her high school sweetheart, Kevin Joseph Miller. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with a son, two daughters, and six cherished grandchildren. Being a mother and grandmother was Jane’s greatest joy and lifelong dream—one she fulfilled with unwavering love and devotion. Jane dedicated her life to serving others with love, compassion, and generosity. She retired from Hancock County Schools after 28 years of service as a preschool aide and autism mentor. Her warmth, patience, and unwavering kindness left a lasting mark on the many children, families, and fellow educators. Devoted to her faith, Jane was a member of Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Her deep spirituality was evident in her daily life, as she was often found praying the Rosary. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially in her visits to Geneva-on-the-Lake, where she enjoyed time with her husband and family. However, nothing compared to the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sabol; her brother-in-law, Bill Bocek; and her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Anna Miller. Jane’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her including her husband of 46 years, Kevin Joseph Miller; her daughter, Terra (David) Rauschenberg; son, Kevin Miller II; and daughter, Emily (Rick) Antill; and her treasured grandchildren: Ethan and Seth Rauschenberg, Liam, Leah, and Logan Antill, and Kevin Miller III; her siblings, Alex (Anne) Sabol, Theresa Bocek, Cecilia (Ed) Conley, Mary Ann Sabol, Veronica Zaney, and Joanne (Doug) Smith; countless nieces and nephews; and her special cousins: Kathy Jo, Bobby, and JoJo Mehalik. Jane will be remembered always for her gentle heart, her unwavering generosity, and the immeasurable love she gave to her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her family gathered privately at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home for a blessing service. A Divine Liturgy in her memory will be held at Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church on a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Share tributes at www.grecohertnick.com.
