Thomas “Tom” Michael Lemal

THOMAS “TOM” MICHAEL LEMAL, 72, of Windsor Heights, WV passed away June 9, 2025, at UPMC Passivate, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born September 27, 1952, in Steubenville, OH to the late Thomas J. and Lucille Whitting Lemal. Tom was a retired crane operator from Cleveland Cliffs where he had 50 years of service and was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV. Tom was a Boy Scout leader and took the troop to National Jamboree twice and earned the Silver Beaver award; he was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. Tom was an avid drummer who played with Wild Cherry, Donnie Iris and several other local bands. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Boniey Lemal, who passed in 2013; a brother, Norman “Sonny” Clark; and his sister, Naomi Cochran. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sovinski Lemal; son, Josh Lemal of Steubenville, OH; stepdaughter, Tara Sands of Beech Bottom, WV; his sister, Dorothy “Dollie” Camerlin of New Cumberland, WV; step grandson, Jason Varner; and his cat, Salem. Visitation was held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral Liturgy with Mass was held Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, with Father Juston Golna as Celebrant.
