The Brooke County Library will host an interactive STEM program for children and their families on Thursday, July 24, at 5 p.m., in the River Room.
The program, presented by a national group called Science Heroes, uses stories to teach science.
During the interactive 45-minute show, volunteers will help the performer conduct science experiments about chemical reactions, the transfer of energy, physical explosions, and the changing states of matter.
“Our summer reading show combines the magic of stories with the wonders of science to get kids excited about learning,” says Ken Nicholas, the company’s creative director. “Our hope is to inspire the next generation of ‘science heroes,’ one library at a time.”
Registration is required. Call the circulation desk at 304.737.1551 to register or visit https://brookecountylibs.org/events.
