M. GALENE (RALSTON) LIMING, 90, of Follansbee, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Golden Oaks Personal Care in Follansbee, WV. She was born on March 24, 1935, in Wellsburg, WV, the daughter of the late Gale Ralston of Wellsburg, WV and the late Irene Dunn of Wheeling, WV. In addition to her parents, Galene is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Richard Z. Liming and one brother, Paul Lewis Ralston. Galene was raised by her late grandmother Margaret Kemp in her early years on Main St. in Wellsburg before moving in with her father and stepmother Marge Ralston, later Tennant, a street over on Charles. Galene graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1954. She married the love of her life and father of her two children, Richard on January 19, 1957, at the Wellsburg Methodist Church. Galene retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. with 25 years of service as a service representative starting after high school with C&P Telephone, then taking twelve years off to raise her two children and run the home which she said was her biggest joy. C&P called again, and she returned to work at the Weirton and Wheeling offices until 1984 winning many top sales awards. Galene was a member of the Pioneers telephone employee run charity group, the CWA union, and the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, Richard Lynn Liming and wife, Lynn of Nottingham, MD and daughter, Lori Gale Liming of Follansbee, WV; her beloved grandchildren: Margaret “Maggie” (Joe) Brown of Salisbury, MD, Nicole Liming of Towson, MD, Tyler (Kayla) Burns of Wellsburg, WV, and Alexa (Kurt) Diserio of Coraopolis, PA; and great grandchildren Aiden Joseph Brown and Zara Azalea Diserio. Visitation for Galene was held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 and again on Monday, July 21, 2025 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
