Richard Arlen “Pete” Bailey

RICHARD ARLEN “PETE” BAILEY, 75, of Rayland, OH died peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at AHN Wexford Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1949, in Follansbee, WV a son of the late Albert and Ann (Rigby) Bailey. He graduated from Follansbee High School in 1969. After high school he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Pete worked for Wheeling Nippon for 24 years as a coil inspector. He was a member of the Hooverson Heights Church of Christ. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Pete loved working in his garden and loved telling stories. Pete is survived by two children, Glenn (Kelly Casey-Bailey) Bailey of Rayland, OH and Margaret “Peggy” (Brent) Hall of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren: Cole (Brittany) Harmon, Sydney Misenhelder, Devon Bailey, and Kira (Cameron) Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Daisy, Magnolia, and Kori; two brothers, Earl (Gina) Bailey of Colliers, WV and Mike (Cindy) Bailey of Follansbee; two sisters, Linda Guiler of Colliers and Suzie Tennant of Follansbee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Pete was held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Earl Bailey officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Full Military honors were conducted by the US Navy and the Ohio Valley Veteran Memorial Squad. Inurnment was held privately. Condolences may be left at ww.mullenbachfh.com.
