The Brooke County Public Library will celebrate Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Day – Dolly Day- on Wednesday, August 6, from 11 a.m.–12 p.m., in the River Room of the Wellsburg Library as part of read-alouds around the state.
The Dolly Day events will feature a read-aloud of the book “Corduroy” at 11 a.m. followed by a craft, games, snack and fun!
The Imagination Library mails more than two million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to enrolled children from birth to age five. Parton envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading and inspiring children to “Dream More, Learn More, Care More and Be More.”
