Ron Dean Misch

RON DEAN MISCH, 84, born May 18, 1941, in the charming town of Wellsburg, WV has peacefully left this world on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital with family by his side. Ron led an impressive life dedicated to hard work and pursuits. Ron’s journey began in Wellsburg High School, where he graduated in 1959 with a bright future ahead. He served as a Motor Inspector at the Blooming Mill at Weirton Steel for 30 years. While he was not busy inspecting motors, he was enjoying his favorite hobbies of hunting, fishing, and golf. He had a knack for reeling in big catches, hitting bullseye, and knocking a little white ball into a tiny hole miles away. He was a devoted member of the Franklin United Methodist Church. As an Army Veteran himself, in 2006 he became part of the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Ron understood the importance of recognizing and supporting his fellow servicemen. Ron is preceded in death by this father, John F. Misch and mother, Clara F. (Price) Misch. As well as his sister, Donna Lauck and his brother, John H. Misch. Throughout his life, Ron was fortunate to be surrounded by a loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Glennis Marie (Stewart) Misch, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Ron’s legacy continues through his sons, Brian “Bub” and LeeAnn Misch of Wellsburg, Brent “Dave” Misch of Wellsburg, Brandon “Shane” and Rhonda Misch of Follansbee. His granddaughters Ashley Misch fiancé Johnny Crupe of Wellsburg, Alesha and Kyle Johnson of Follansbee, Mikayla and Michael Petrosky of Wellsburg, and Maleaha Misch of Follansbee brought immense joy to his life. His great granddaughter Piper Brooks Johnson, and great grandson Jet Adam Johnson and Lane Parker Misch added an extra sprinkle of happiness to his days. Ron’s family circle extended to his brothers, Francis “Eugene” Misch and his twin brother, Donald Misch. Numerous nieces and nephews also share in the grief of losing such a remarkable man. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 until the time of funeral services, at Franklin United Methodist Church, Wellsburg, with Rev. Nelson Nygongo officiating. Interment followed in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg. A man of service until the very end, Ron received full military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad and the Army Honor Guard. As we say goodbye to this extraordinary individual, let us remember the laughter he brought into our lives and impact he made on those around him. Ron Dean Misch may be gone, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Arrangements by Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
