SHARON ANN (DUNN) SCHEETZ, 78, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Mary Jane Brooks Center, Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH with her family by her side. Sharon was born on June 27, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Dunn and Elizabeth (Haysler) Dunn. Sharon was a dynamic person, always smiling and known for her ornery sense of humor. She shared that spirit throughout her years at Weirton Medical Center and later at Trinity Medical Center, where she dedicated 20 years to transporting patients with care and compassion until her retirement. From childhood, Sharon held a deep faith rooted in the Catholic Church, beginning at St.Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family, her beloved dogs—Snowball, Bingo, and Cisco—and her love for the game of BINGO. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John “Jack” Scheetz Jr. Sharon is survived by her three children: David Scheetz and companion, Melinda Ohler, John Scheetz and companion, Jennifer Lindemood, all of Follansbee, WV, and Tammy Thompson of Wintersville, OH; six grandchildren: Brenton Scheetz and companion, Ashley Brettell, Shayla Thompson, Joshua Thompson and wife, Kierstin, Devin Miller, Sarah Scheetz and Aidan Scheetz; three great grandchildren: Ja’ Seir, Harmonee and Mahaleau; four siblings: Joe Dunn and, wife, Sue of Florida, John Dunn and wife, Rita of Follansbee, Jim Dunn and wife, Betsy, of Columbus, OH; and Jeffrey Dunn and girlfriend, Candance Patton of Wintersvillle, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Friday, August 22, 2025 until the time of Liturgy of the Word at James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Father Justin Golna presiding.
