JOHN STUCIN, JR., 76, of Canton, OH formerly of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at home with his family by his side. John was born on November 22, 1948, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late John and Dorothy (Ujcich) Stucin. He graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1967 and attended West Liberty State College where he played baseball for the Hilltoppers. John proudly served his country for the United States Army Reserve. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and worked for Wheeling-Nippon as a warehouse operator until retiring in 2021. John was a hard worker throughout his years at Wheeling Nippon. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing with his buddies and son in laws. He was an avid sports fan and never missed a moment routing on the WV Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. Johns greatest joy was being a devoted family man. He loved his three daughters and son in laws, and he was proud of the lives they have created for themselves. His granddaughters were the absolute light of his life. He never missed a chance to cheer them on at every game, match, or recital, proudly showing up with a smile on his face and love in his heart. Being present for their achievements, big or small, brought him unmatched happiness. John is survived by his beloved wife, Christina Ann (Quattrocchi) Stucin whom he married on August 18, 1973; three daughters: Adrienne (Jeff) Sweitzer of Canton, OH, Kristin (Lee) Weppler of Canton, OH, and Meredith (Jake) Young of Uniontown, OH; five granddaughters: Brooklyn, Londyn, Irelyn, Kaylee, and Kinslee; one sister, Jenny K. (James Benedik) Stucin of Windsor Heights, WV; four aunts: Jackie (John) Warren of Avon Lake, OH, Olga Slenska of Pittsburgh, PA, Margaret (Sam) White of Wellsburg, WV, and Pauline (James) Mariano of Cleveland, OH; two uncles, Michael (Becky) Ujcich of Lexington, TN and Ronald (Eva) Ujcich of Wellsburg; one sister-in-law, Marianne (Dave) Heaton of Follansbee, WV; one brother-in-law, Frank (Francine) Quattrocchi of Cocoa Beach, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy of the Word at 4 p.m., with Father Justin Golna officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
