ANNA MAE (STROMEYER) ORISON, 79, of Steubenville, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Carriage Inn, Steubenville under the care of the staff with the assistance of Southern Care Hospice and her daughters by her side. Anna was born on February 5, 1946 in Washington, PA. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Grace (Salenberger) Stromeyer. Anna was a devoted homemaker who generously gave her time to help others, regularly volunteering at food pantries to support those in need. She had a kind heart and a warm spirit that touched everyone she met. Anna loved spending time with friends, especially playing cards and attending BINGO, where her laughter and presence were always cherished. A woman of deep faith, she was Pentecostal by denomination and lived her life with compassion and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Renforth and her siblings, William, Ernest, David, Jon and Thomas Stromeyer and Mary McClung. Anna is survived by her three daughters: Roberta Burnstein of Weirton, WV, Sandra Hanlin and her husband, Rick of Steubenville, OH and Melissa Orison Howel and her husband, Dan of Steubenville, OH; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, with two on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Thursday, September 18, 2025 until the time of the funeral service, at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Reverend Susan Clegg officiating.
