JOHN WAYNE STEWART, 77, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at home. He was born on July 8, 1948, in Wellsburg, WV a son of the late Paul Andrew and Bertha Viola (Myers) Stewart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Stewart; and five sisters, Phyllis Roberts, Betty Woodburn, Shirley Cruz, Dorothy Richards, and Cora Lucas. John graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1966 and proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked and retired from Koppers Industries in Follansbee, WV where he was Computer Board Operator. John was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed auto body, painting, and raising Appaloosa horses in his younger years. He is survived by two children, John Stewart of Follansbee, WV and Jodi (Nick) Irvin of Wheeling, WV; one grandson, Lorenzo and another grandson on the way.
