CAROLYN J. NORCIA, 70, of Weirton, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at WVU Medicine, Weirton Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1954 in Oakdale, PA, daughter of the late James Norcia and Marie Ransom Norcia Melvin. She is also preceded in death by sister, MaryAnn Hood; brothers, James Norcia and Robert Melvin; father, Don “Ducky” Melvin; and niece, Chelsea Gibbs. Carolyn was a member of Mercy Baptist Church in Weirton. She worked for 28 years in Weirton Steel Corporation and 15 years at Weirton Geriatric Center. She also enjoyed working part-time at Star Lake Amphitheater. Carolyn was involved in Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Carolyn is survived by sisters, Katherine Jones (late Timothy), Geri Gibbs (late Rick), and Sandra Lee Melvin; brother, Richard Melvin (Linda); and several nieces and nephews. Per Carolyn’s wishes, there was no visitation. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
