Harold Hilton Craft

HAROLD HILTON CRAFT, 88, passed away on October 23, 2025. Born on March 3, 1937, in New Bethlehem, PA, he was a son of the late Russell Vincent and Savilla May Craft (Schrecengost). Harold was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Craft, and a stepson, Larry Cain. Harold dedicated 37 years of his life as a crane operator at WSX, known among his peers as a man of few words but of great skill and dedication. He was someone who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the company of his beloved canine companion, Una. He is survived by his children Jennie Neff of Colliers, WV, David Craft (Kim) of Wellsburg, WV, Lorie Courtney (Jerry) of Weirton, WV, and Clint Craft (Cheryl) of Wintersville, OH; Step-Children Gary Cato and Nicole Cato; grandchildren Michele Neff, Michael Neff, Joshua Craft, Allison Craft, Rachel Shawver, Logan Shawver, Tess Courtney, Chloe Courtney, Jacob Craft, Trestan Craft, Brandon May, Amber Cain, Shyla Jenkins, Anthony Cato, Nadia Riel, Kristen Truax, and Andra Simms. Harold is also survived by many great grandchildren, his brothers Francis and James Craft (Joyce), as well as several nieces and nephews. Harold’s request for cremation has been honored. He was cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, Weirton. There are no formal services scheduled at this time. While he may have been a man of few words, Harold’s impact on those around him will speak volumes for years to come. He will be dearly missed.
