NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL CHURCH PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to West Virginia Code § 35-1-10, of the intent of the Trustees of Christ Episcopal Church of Wellsburg, West Virginia, to sell certain real property formerly used by the congregation of Christ Episcopal Church and located at 1014 Main Street, Wellsburg, Brooke County, West Virginia.
Christ Episcopal Church is no longer active as a congregation. The duly appointed Trustees, acting under the authority granted by the Diocese and the laws of the State of West Virginia, have determined that the sale of the real property is necessary and appropriate for the benefit of the Church and in accordance with ecclesiastical and civil law.
Because the congregation is defunct and no longer meets, this notice is being published in lieu of the oral announcement otherwise required to be made to the membership of the Church.
TheTrustees will proceed with the sale in accordance with West Virginia law within twenty (20) days from the date of the first publication of this Notice.
