JAMES WESLEY PATTERSON, 82, of Weirton, WV, passed away on November 14, 2025. Born on March 16, 1943, in Ripley, West Virginia, James was the son of the late Guy and Wilma Gill Patterson. He was preceded in death by a son Timothy Patterson, and a sister Sandra Flannigan. James graduated from high school and went on to work at Weirton Steel as a Millrite at Brown’s Island, where he committed his life to supporting his family. James was a family man whose warmth and dry sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. He poured not only his skill but also his heart into everything he did, and his expertise was matched only by his passion for tinkering on various projects, particularly his cherished cars. James had a special affection for the Christmas season, delighting in the joyful sounds of the Christmas bells owned by his beloved wife, Marilyn. His heart swelled with joy as he gifted a beloved Christmas snowman to his granddaughter, Cassie, creating memories that will forever be treasured by his family. James will be remembered with love by his wife Marilyn Patterson, his son Wesley (Jennifer) Patterson, his two daughters Wendy (Ron) Isinghood and Shelley (Gordon) Lane, his sister Linda Fisher, his grandchildren Cassie Neely, Kara Patterson and Stephen Mitchell, and five great-grandchildren. James was a loving grandfather who greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, making every moment special and memorable.
