MARTHA JUANETTA HERCULES GONZALES, 92, of Weirton, WV, passed Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born February 9, 1933 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Wheeler and Hilma Leadley Hercules. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gonzales (1989); granddaughter, Brianna Leigh Swain; and siblings, David Hercules, Thomas Hercules, Margaret McMonagle and Rebecca Smith Daniels. Martha worked for Weirton Senior Citizen’s Center, where she drove bus and cleaned houses for seniors. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her children, Diana Swain, John Swain (Myeong Ji), Sue Miller (George), and Jim Swain; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Monday, November 17, 2025 until the time of the service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, with Pastor Marlin Hawley presiding. Interment followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
