Douglas James Laisure

DOUGLAS JAMES LAISURE, 74, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at home. Born May 29, 1951, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Clyde and Emily (Vavrock) Laisure. Doug graduated from Bellaire High School in 1969. He retired from working Security at Wheeling Island Casino. He was Christian by faith. Doug was an amateur painter spending many days doing what he loved. He is survived by two children, Angela Laisure and husband David Harris of Wellsburg, WV and James Laisure and wife, Julia of Springtown, TX; one sister, Delores Ann Dixon of Marion, IN; seven grandchildren: Amber (Wilam) Wisner, Katerina (Samuel) Nickoles, Delbert (Kayla) Hinerman, Travis Laisure, Connor Laisure, Jaxon Laisure and Grayson Laisure; eight great grandchildren: Gloria, Gabe, June, Beau, Charlotte, Liam, Lillian, and Zayden; and two great-great grandchildren, Zion and Weston. Visitation for Doug was held on Monday, December 22, 2025 until the time of his celebration of Life, at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Rev. Joy Leasure officiating.
