EVA MAE FORD, 97, of Weirton, WV, formerly of Weston, WV, passed Thursday, January 1, 2026 at WVU Medicine, Weirton Medical Center. She was born June 15, 1928 in Weston, WV, daughter of the late Clyde Hull and Lura May Hall Hull. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Claude Ford (2021); brothers, Virgil, Harold and Edward Clyde Hull; and sisters, Juanita Marie Imboden, Virginia Matheny, and Mary Elsie Mazzei. Eva was a graduate of Weston High School, Class of 1947. She was proud to be the first high school graduate in her family. She married William “Bill” Ford on May 19, 1972. Through the years, Eva worked at Top Value Furniture in Weirton, Murphy Construction in Wellsburg, and West Virginia Bureau of Senior Services. Eva was an avid golfer. Whether she and Bill lived in Weirton, Fairmont, Buckhannon or Jane Lew, she could always be found on a golf course. While living in Buckhannon, Eva loved that the golf course was in her backyard, and played for many years with her golf partner, Judy. She played in many tournaments and even shot a hole-in-one. Eva is survived by her loving daughter, Marsha DeVecchis (Tom) of Weirton; grandson, Eric DeVecchis (Sara); great-grandson, Thomas DeVecchis; and stepchildren, Michael W. Ford (Barbara) of Stevensville, MI, James E. Ford (Annie) of Fairmont, WV, Daniel W. Ford (Ronda) of Mannington, WV, and Cathy Shutler (Duane) of Mannington, WV. Visitation was held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 until the time of the service, at Hardman Family Funeral Home, Weston, WV. Interment followed with her beloved Bill at Weston Masonic Cemetery.
