Kurt Michael “Mike” Floyd

KURT MICHAEL “MIKE” FLOYD, 62, of Colliers, WV died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, while walking to work. Born January 4, 1963, in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Okie B. Floyd, Jr. and Carol Lee (Llewellyn) Floyd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Okie B. Floyd, III, his aunt Esther Floyd, along with his father and mother-in-law, Howard and Geraldine Snodgrass, Jr. and brother-in-law, William Westling. Mike graduated from Brooke High school in 1981and later attended WVU and graduated from West Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. He worked at UPMC Shadyside as a rehab specialist. He was Christian by faith. Mike was a member of the Cedar Lodge in Follansbee, WV and a huge WVU and Brooke Football Fan. Mike was an exceptional father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him, but some called him Coach, some called him Hukie, and some called him Pappy Mike, but they all loved him deeply. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen (Snodgrass) Floyd; two children, Alison (Tom) Foresha of Weirton, WV and John (Julie) DiPasquale of Glendale, WV; six grandchildren: Ethan DiPasquale and fiancé Caitlin Canada, Elizabeth Foresha and fiancé Matthew Swanson, Evan DiPasquale, Alexa Foresha, Elaina Foresha, and Emilia DiPasquale; three siblings: Jeffrey Floyd of Follansbee, WV, Candy (Doug) Romitti of Follansbee, and Cindy Westling of Reynoldsburg, OH; two sisters-in-law, Laura (Robert) Beckelhimer and Cindy (Rick) Taylor, both of Colliers; two brothers-in-law, Howard “Chip” (Joanne) Snodgrass and Matt (Melanie) Snodgrass, both of Wellsburg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation was held on Friday, January 2, 2026 and again on Saturday, January 3, 2026 until the time of the funeral services, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee with Rev.
