PAULETTE KAY WRIGHT of Weirton, WV passed peacefully at her home on January 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Weirton to James H. and Madge (Lipke) Hans, Paulette’s life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her passion for healthcare work. She attended the Hancock County School System. Paulette earned her associate’s degree from WVNCC in 2010 and became a Certified Medical Assistant. For fourteen years, she dedicated herself to caring for others at the Trinity Health Care System, where her compassion and determination made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and her patients. Paulette had an unmistakable spirit, known for her outspoken nature and vibrant personality. “Loud and proud,” as her granddaughter Cheyenne would lovingly say, she had an infectious energy that made her a cherished presence at family gatherings and events. Crafting was one of her greatest joys; she spent countless hours creating with wood and expressing herself through paint. Paulette’s creativity was matched only by her delightful talents in the kitchen, where she was a great cook and baker, always ready to whip up something special for her family. Paulette cherished her family. She gave her love unconditionally, was always present at every milestone, and ensured that her family felt supported and celebrated. In addition to her parents, she was sadly preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Wright, her sons Mark Cooper and James “JJ” Boyer, and brother Jeff Hans. Paulette is survived by her beloved daughters, Jessie (Ron) Ford; bonus daughter Bobbi Cooper and bonus son Jas Wright, and her beloved grandchildren, Sierra Cooper, Sparky Cooper (The Favorite One), Cheyenne (Anton) Myers, Jordan McLaughlin, Makayla McLaughlin Cooper Ford and Aislinn Ford, great-grandchildren Angel, Braylin, Scotty, Cash, and one to eventually make her presence known to all, baby Eloise, and Paulette’s sister Linda Hans. Friends were invited to pay their respects to Paulette’s family on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, where her funeral service was also held on Monday, with Reverend Larry Barkley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paulette’s name to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home. Share online condolences at www.grecohertnick.com.
