Thanks for the feedback on last week’s discussion about belly button importance. Continuing forward let’s take a closer look as if being on the magic school bus where we go below the surface and discover the amazing inner workings of those 72,000 nerve endings (the pechoti). By the way, the “magic school bus” was a kids science exploratory show where each episode they had a bus ride to inner workings of the body or other places. It was a fun little show as you might well be aware.
If a baby has a temperature a cottonball with alcohol can be placed in and on the navel to lower a fever. Alcohol has a tendency to dry out the skin, so it can be traded out with fractionated coconut oil once evaporated and rotate that protocol to help fever reduction. Now, I have never tried this and I am very curious as to how well it works. If any of you decide to give it a whirl and have helpful feedback, I’d love to hear it. And I wonder if it would work for older kids or adults. I also wonder how you would keep it in place on a sick baby or toddler since they move about so much. Just realistically speaking.
Another approach would be to just drip a drop or two of alcohol directly onto the navel. It is said to help with a cold, flu, runny nose and even a belly ache! You can gently massage it into the navel and around it, just letting the alcohol absorb into the skin.
If you keep essential oils on hand you know that TeaTree oil is a very important one to have. Supposedly applying a drop or two onto on into your navel will “cure”, yes the word cure is used…. Cure… dry eyes, poor vision, pancreas problems, cracked heels or lips and other dry skin issues. Wow….. Ok! Now this is do have to try. I am thinking if it helps support the pancreas, that it may assist in diabetic issues? Insulin problems? This I find intriguing.
Now also with the same essential oil of Tea Tree…. If put on the belly button again, it helps alleviate knee pain and other joint pain. Also, helps control chills or lethargy. Hmmm…… I have some of this right here in my repertoire. I’ll be checking this out. Because I’m interested in the joint pain relief but also the skin, hair and glowing face properties. Ok, well that’s all lot of stuff just for one oil!
But I guess mustard oil will also help clear up dry skin. I don’t have mustard oil on hand, but I wonder if a drop of each will keep skin from being so dry in the winter?
Mustard oil will also benefit as a mild detox, keep your bowels moving because it kills the harmful bacteria that cause us problems in the gut. All this goodness just from placing oils in your belly button that absorb down into the pechoti and then disbursed to where it needs to go!
If a person struggles with stubborn acne or blackheads, then a dab of neem oil on the belly button works wonders!
Olive oil or coconut oil if placed there is said to improve fertility. So, if you are a person who is trying to have a family, it wouldn’t hurt to try this. And if you are trying to avoid it like the plague, I would veer away from using these. Haha.
And this is interesting, brandy in your belly button is known to alleviate menstrual pain and cramps! This is a different kind of alcohol and it has a different use.
Sesame oil can be used in the navel and around the navel area to support joints and alleviate all joint pain. It is also recorded to have improved the strength of bones and bone density.
A few drops of caster oil in and around the navel is supposed to support a parasitic cleanse. As a matter of fact I know a lady who tried this and did this. She is a personal friend of mine here locally. She was surprised when she had a fantastic result from doing this. I will save your brain from all the details, although I was exposed to all the details and it kinda traumatized me. Haha. I saw pictures and everything. So, that was interesting. I have been afraid to try it because if I can’t see them I like it that way. HAHA…. But yeh, one day I will get brave enough to give it a shot and then not look too close.
