Wellsburg City Manager Sworn In

The City of Wellsburg’s new city manager, Erica Tamburin, was sworn in during a ceremony on Monday morning, attended by first responders, her children, and community leaders.
After taking the oath of office, Tamburin expressed her enthusiasm for the role and outlined her initial plans.
“It’s truly an honor to serve the residents and community here in Wellsburg,” Tamburin said. “The first few days and months will involve listening, learning the daily operations, and identifying what is working well and what needs to be worked on.”
Tamburin acknowledged the challenges of working with a limited budget and resources.
“We’re going to focus on how we can be more fiscally responsible and improve our water systems,” she said.
Despite these challenges, she remains optimistic about the city’s future.
“I don’t have any strong worries at this point. I’m positive that we can work together and move forward together as a community,” she said. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with our community partners with our residents. I’ll be taking the next few days to get to know the city staff and hopefully they’ll fill me in on how we can move forward together.”
Tamburin says the city has some great economic opportunities in front of it, and is hopeful the right moves and policies can bring positive change,
“We’re a great river town. The bridge is a huge asset, so we’re going to look into ways we can bring more economic development to Wellsburg.”
Tamburin assured residents of her commitment.
“My door will always be open. I’m committed to serving the town of Wellsburg. I live here in Wellsburg, and I’m thankful for the trust they’ve placed in me. I want them to know I will be working hard for them,” she said.
