INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for the City of Follansbee Demolition Project will be received in the Follansbee City Building, City of Follansbee, 872 Main Street, PO Box 606, Follansbee WV 26037, until January 30, 2026 at 3:30pm.
The project consists of demolition and removal of all debris and back fill at multiple locations. Asbestos removal may be required. Asbestos reports can be obtained with bid packets. Bids should be based on square footage.
Contact Lary Rea, Fire Chief, 304-224-5239 to obtain a bid package and schedule inspections of properties. All bidders are required to have the proper liability insurance and a current West Virginia Contractor’s license, along with a city business license. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all permits and with any applicable authority.
The City of Follansbee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received, and to accept any proposal which it deems most favorable.
This service is a result of WV DEP Dilapidated Properties Program and the City of Follansbee Building Enforcement Agency.
