WV DMV Reminds Residents that “It’s easy to get your Real ID”

West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is reaching out to West Virginians to offer support in getting a Real ID as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) deadline for additional fee draws near.
On February 1, 2026, all airport passengers who do not have a REAL ID or another acceptable ID (such as a passport) will be required by TSA to complete an extra identity check, accompanied by a $45 fee.
