Benjamin John Bucy

BENJAMIN JOHN BUCY, 65, of Follansbee, WV died tragically in a house fire in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Follansbee, WV. He was born on January 23, 1961, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Benjamin J. and Rita (Mazzaufo) Bucy of Wellsburg, WV. Ben graduated from Brooke High School in 1979. He worked as a self-employed painter for many years and as a musician having played the guitar and drums in his latest band “Train Wreck”. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg, WV. In addition to his mother, Rita, he is survived by his five siblings: Mary Carol Bucy of Pittsburgh, PA, Evelyn Ann Queen and David of Wellsburg, WV, Jacqueline Carty and husband, Paul of Matthews, NC, Ralph Bucy of Charleston, SC, and Patrick Bucy of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There was no visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in the near future. Inurnment was held privately in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg.
