CITY OF FOLLANSBEE
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE
The City of Follansbee is accepting proposals for property and liability insurance coverage for the City for the period of July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027.
Proposals from standard carriers with an A.M. Best rating of ‘A-’ (Excellent) or better that are admitted and backed by the West Virginia Insurance Guaranty Association (WVIGA) are preferred. If carriers are not rated and backed by the West Virginia Insurance Guaranty Association, audited financials are required for the insurer, including any reinsurer.
The proposals, along with carrier AM Best rating or audited financials, are to be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled “Property and Liability Insurance Proposal” by 3:30pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 to:

Please contact Maureen Williams via email at [email protected] to obtain information to prepare a proposal. Time is of the essence; proposals submitted after 3:30pm on April 3, 2026 will not be considered.
