Edward John Kelley, Jr.

EDWARD JOHN KELLEY, JR., 89, of Leetonia, OH died peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Valley Hospice Care Center North. He was born on December 21, 1936, in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Edward John and Eileen Wilda (Jeffries) Kelley, Sr. A 1954 graduate of Weir High School, Ed was Presbyterian by faith and deeply involved in his community. He worked and retired as a heavy machine builder for National Rubber Machinery Corporation. Ed dedicated many years to the Leetonia Zoning and Appeals Board, the Leetonia Fire Department, the Leetonia Sportsman’s Club, Latonia Masonic Lodge #401 now Negley Lodge #565, Salem Hunting Club, Columbiana County Archers, and The Wyandot Bowmen. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing from his boat with his wife Shirley and enjoying time outdoors hunting. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Theresa (Eccleson) Kelley at home; one son, James Arthur Kelley of Wheeling, WV; four sisters: Mary Louise (Terry) Scott of New Manchester, WV, Chesterine Price of NY, and Patricia (Mark) Wagner and Kathy (Rich) Beatty, both of Follansbee, WV; dear friend and neighbor, Chris (Korisa) Walton of Leetonia, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Ed was held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A private graveside service and inurnment wer held at New Cumberland Cemetery. Ed’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Golden Oaks Personal Care and Valley Hospice for all the love and care he received during his time with them.
