JOHN ALAN VARGO, 59, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA after a brief illness. He was born on December 8,1966 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Andrew John Vargo. John is survived by his mother, Nancy (Shultz) Vargo of Wellsburg, WV. John graduated from Brooke High School in 1986. He worked as a self-employed- auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing at the lake with one of his best friends, Frank. John is survived by his mother, Nancy (Shultz) Vargo of Wellsburg, WV; his sister, Leeanne (Dwayne) Coen of Beech Bottom, WV; two aunts, Faye Newton and Sharon M. Smith, both of Wellsburg; two uncles, Steve (Kathy) Vargo of Valley Grove, WV and Frank (Valerie) Vargo of Kentucky; and many cousins. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 2-5 p.m. at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A private inurnment will be held. Condolences may be left at www.mullenbachfh.com.
