Mary Lois (Revels) Byers

MARY LOIS (REVELS) BYERS, 84, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Sienna Skilled Rehab and Nursing, Wintersville, OH. Mary was born on August 5, 1941, in Lumberton, NC. She was the daughter of the late James Russell Revels and Trixie (Oxendine) Revels. Mary was a faithful member of the Hooverson Heights Church of the Nazarene, Follansbee, WV and worked for Ball Corp, Weirton, WV and Gen Pak, Wellsburg, WV. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald H. Byers, three siblings, Jean Demery, James B. Revels and Franklin Revels. Mary is survived by her three children: David R. Revels and companion, Liz Stevens, Sonya L. Byers and companion, Jim R. Worrell, Jr. and Ronald H. Byers II and companion, Vera Eger, all of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren: Joshua Revels and his wife, Kate Montgomery, Tyler Revels, Jessica Mansfield and Alyssa Chapman and her husband, Cody; seven great grandchildren: Shawn Stevens, Brennen Riggs, Ella, Sophie and Hudson Chapman, and Aurora and Tristan Montgomery-Revels; six siblings: Linda Faye Jacobs, Loretta Jones, Larry Revels, Cathy Revels, Wayne Revels and his wife, Cathy and Glenn Revels; a dear friend, Mary Maderia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 and again on Thursday, February 5, 2026 until the time of the funeral service, at James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with her Pastor, Ronald McGee officiating.
