Rosanna Nora Gump

ROSANNA NORA GUMP, 89, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, while holding her daughter’s hand. Rosanna was born on January 18, 1937, in Weirton, West Virginia, to parents Bennie Carrocci and Lucia Tarravella Carrocci. She spent her life in the vibrant community of Steubenville, Ohio, and Weirton, WV, where she touched many lives through her unwavering spirit and dedication. A proud graduate of Weir High School, Rosanna embraced the world with determination and hard work. She built a successful career as a restaurant owner, providing not only delicious meals but also a welcoming space where friends and families gathered. Her work ethic was a testament to her character, earning her the affectionate title of a “workaholic” from those who loved her. Rosanna was a woman of deep faith, and her belief in a higher power guided her throughout her life. She cherished her family above all else, and her love for her children, Robert Gump and Laura Isinghood, was boundless. She found joy in simple moments and shared many laughter-filled days with her beloved sisters, Nancy McBurney and Patricia Gorby. Her vibrant spirit extended beyond family, as she formed cherished friendships and created a lasting impact on her community. An avid fan of Kenny Rogers’ music, Rosanna would often listen to his songs, letting the melodies carry her away to joyful memories. She also enjoyed the thrill of Atlantic City’s casinos, where she often found delight in trying her luck amid the glitz and glamour. Rosanna was preceded in death by: Her beloved husband Bobby Gump, her devoted father, Bennie, her loving mother, Lucia Tarravella Gump, and her sister Nancy McBurney. Rosanna is survived by her son Robert (Marissa) Gump and past daughter-in-law Jodi Gump, her daughter Laura (Paul) Isinghood, and her sister Patricia (Gail) Gorby. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Lyndsey Fenske, Jakob Fenske, Benjamin Gump, Brandon Gump, Greg Hilton and Janice (Irvin) Dailey, plus many nieces and nephews. Each of these relationships reflected her unwavering love and strength. A viewing preceded the ceremony, allowing loved ones to share their memories and offer their condolences, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton. The funeral service immediately followed after the visitation, where family and friends gathered to celebrate the beautiful life of Rosanna Nora Gump. Reverend Jason Elliott officiated the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Rosanna’s name to Buckeye Hospice, honoring her spirit of generosity and love. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Rosanna not only for her accomplishments but for the warmth she brought into our lives, her laughter, and her ability to love deeply.
