Shirrel Francis Huggins

SHIRREL FRANCIS HUGGINS, 88, of Wellsburg, WV passed away January 25, 2026, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born April 24, 1937, in Wileyville, WV to the late Harley and Opal Yoho Huggins. He was in the Army Reserves, retired from Wheeling Nisshin, Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing keno, enjoyed his trips to the cabin for hunting season, and was a member of the Wellsburg Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Klovanish Huggins, who passed in 2015; his brother, Percy Huggins, Sr.; and his sister, Delores Huggins McGrath. He is survived by his son, Rodney Huggins (Suzette) of Wellsburg, WV; his daughter, Cheryl Huggins (fiancé Patrick Albarano) of Wintersville, OH; and two sisters, Janet Noel and Loretta Basil, both of Wellsburg. Visitation was held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. The funeral service was held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Nixon officiating.
