Tonya Jo Black

TONYA JO BLACK, 42, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at U.P.M.C. Magee Women’s Hospital. Born March 1, 1983, Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Robert Black and Charlene (McQuillan) Black. She attended Brooke High School and was Christian by faith. Tonya was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and her pets. She spent time reading the bible and coloring. Surviving in addition to her mother, Charlene Black, is her son, Zachary Eugene Bennett of Wellsburg, WV; her grandson, Gerod Michael Mitchell; her companion, James Merten of Wellsburg; three siblings: Tammy Black and companion Jack Robinson of Wellsburg, and Joseph Black and Keith Black both of Wellsburg; several nieces and nephews; and her furry companion Bella Bear.
