John L. Lowe

JOHN L. LOWE died peacefully in Bend, Oregon on December 11, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1946 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of Delora Lowe Carpenter and grandson of Ella Patience Lowe, both deceased. He is survived by his son, John Robert and wife, Amy and grandsons, Zach, Sam and Ben of Bend, Oregon. He graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1964. He then graduated with a bachelor’s degree from West Liberty State College (now WLU) and got his master’s degree from Marshall University. He was employed for 36 years with Goodyear, Shell, M&G and nine years at Marshall University Research Corporation. He loved traveling and going to the beach. He was a member of Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church in Huntington, WV. He and his wife Nedra (deceased) recently had moved from Huntington, WV to Bend, Oregon to be near their son’s family. John and Nedra were married for 56 years.
