Walter Ferguson

WALTER FERGUSON, 88, of Wellsburg, WV passed away February 20, 2026, at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV. Walter was born November 10, 1937, to the late Lester and Irene Dick Ferguson. Walt had a Very Successful Career as a Journeyman/Electrician, with I.B.E.W. Local 246 with over 65years of service, was a member of the Wellsburg United Methodist Church, the Brooke Hills Park Board for over 30 years, Wellsburg Bridge Committee, Long time coach for the Wellsburg Colts, founder of the Washington Pike Baseball Association, Brooke County Health Board, Wellsburg Elks and Wellsburg Moose. In addition to his parents Walt was preceded in death by his brother James “Jim” Ferguson, and great granddaughter Grace Sophia Ferguson. Walt is survived by the love of his life, Edith Hipkiss Ferguson; two sons, Jason Ferguson and Stephanie of Wellsburg, WV; Brian Ferguson and Nancy of Wellsburg; one daughter, Rhonda Adams and Steve of Scott Township, PA; one brother, Richard Ferguson and Pam of Wellsburg; one sister, Linda Green of Wellsburg; seven grandchildren: Kyler Ferguson and Marla of Wellsburg, Drew Ferguson and Kayla of Wellsburg, Sydney Ferguson of Wheeling, WV, Makara Ferguson of Wellsburg, Amelia Magon and Jared of Washington, PA, Abigail Adams and fiancé Michael Kochin of Collier, PA, and Ashton Barber and Josh of Phoenix, AZ; and six great grandchildren: Kole Ferguson, Andrew Ryan, and Natalie Ryan, Kamdyn Ferguson, Adalyn Ferguson, and Andersen Magon. Visitation was held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the funeral home, with Pastor Carl Tribett officiating. Interment followed at Franklin Cemetery.
