The excitement of March Madness isn’t just for basketball fans—it’s also a game-changing opportunity to support our community. The 6th Annual Match Madness fundraiser kicks off on March 1st, and thanks to a generous commitment from Berger and Green, every donation made to the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley during March will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $15,000. Berger and Green, a Social Security disability and personal injury law firm based in Pittsburgh, has a long-standing commitment to supporting communities across the region.
“We were thrilled to welcome so many new donors through Match Madness last year,” said Staci Stephen, Executive Director of United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. “This campaign is a win-win—it doubles the impact of every donation while giving our supporters a fun incentive. We’re incredibly grateful to Berger and Green for their generosity and commitment to our community.”
This year’s Annual Campaign, “Building Bridges. Connecting Communities.”, emphasizes the power of connection in strengthening our region. Every dollar raised supports more than 30 local programs serving Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler, and Belmont counties. In addition to funding essential services, United Way works to unite partners, promote philanthropy, and mobilize volunteers to address our community’s most pressing needs.
Managing Partner at Berger and Green, Amanda Bonnesen said, “Berger and Green is excited to support the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley’s Match Madness campaign, because when we come together as a community, the impact is multiplied.”
