Jacqueline “Jackie” Kay (Lyons) Grace

JACQUELINE “JACKIE” KAY (LYONS) GRACE, 72, of Cadiz, OH, passed away suddenly following a fall on February 10, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on August 23, 1953, in Burgettstown, PA, Jackie was the beloved daughter of the late David Kenneth Lyons and Genevieve (Chambers) Lyons. Jackie worked for a time in Texas at Timex before dedicating many years of service as a nurses’ aide at Weirton Geriatric Center. She took great pride in caring for others and was known for her compassion, patience, and gentle spirit. Her kindness left a lasting impression on the many residents and families she served. She will be remembered for her deep love of dogs and children, her warm heart, and her simple joys in life. Jackie was an avid reader who could often be found with a good book in hand. She also enjoyed baking for family and friends, always happiest when sharing something homemade. Above all, she loved horseback riding, finding peace and freedom in time spent with horses and in the outdoors. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Grace; her sister, Karen Lyons Hamilton; and her brother, Charles “Chuckie” Lyons. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her two children, Linda Lyons and Jack Grace; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Eddie Lyons and Sandra “Sandy” Lyons Donahey; four nephews; one niece; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Riverview Baptist Church, Wellsburg, with Pastor Lawrence Kimball officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037 to assist the family during this time.
