FRANK ANTHONY MARTINO, 96, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Golden Oaks Residential Board and Care in Follansbee, WV. Born on May 31, 1929, in Follansbee, WV, Frank was the son of the late Francesco and Marguerite (Tecca) Martino. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet (Lauri) Martino; his son, Frank Joseph Martino; four brothers, Carl, Giuseppe, Mario Philip, and Joe Martino; and five sisters, Elizabeth Martino, Rosie Canarella, Perrie Casinelli, Mary Gampolo, and Sandy Marino. Frank was a proud graduate of Follansbee High School, Class of 1947. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Upon returning home, Frank dedicated his life to the building and construction trades, ultimately retiring after many years as a sales associate with Robert Scott Lumber. A man of strong faith, Frank and his late wife Violet were devoted members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg. He cherished the friendships he made throughout his life, especially those formed at the Follansbee Garibaldi Lodge and Theta Chi Alpha Fraternity. Frank found great joy on the golf course, spending countless hours with family and friends, and he had a lifelong passion for following horse racing. Frank is lovingly survived by his daughter, Christine (John) Kadlic of Powell, OH; his two granddaughters, Madison (Austin) Crow and Sidney Kadlic and companion, Brianne Beronilla; his great-grandson, Colton Hoy Crow; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A Funeral Liturgy of the Word was celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2026 with Rev. Father Justin Golna officiating. Interment followed in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, where full military honors were conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard.
