DONALD WILLIAM “SPANKY” HARSHEY, 57, of Weirton, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at home. Donald was born on April 23, 1967, in Atlas, PA a son of the late Frank James and Pearl (Booth) Harshey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Troy, Shawn and Frank Harshey, Jr. Donald graduated from Burgettstown High School Class of 1985. He proudly served in the United States Navy during Desert Storm after graduating high school. He retired from Busy B Muffler where he was a mechanic. He enjoyed cooking, doing yard work, and playing with his grandchildren in his spare time. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Susan (Langely) Harshey at home; one daughter, Patience Harshey and fiancé, Terry Chapman of Wellsburg, WV; one son, Gage Harshey of Weirton, WV; three grandchildren, Luna Harshey, Jamie Shreves, and Bill Chapman; two sisters, Corinne Harshey of Steubenville, OH and Lynn Kirby of PA; one brother, Gary Kirby of Washington, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Donald was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 until the time of the funeral service, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately.
