Renowned Speaker, Cara Filler, Brings Drive to Save Lives Tour Back to West Virginia Schools

The West Virginia Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP) is proud to announce the continuation of the “Drive to Save Lives Tour” featuring international speaker Cara Filler. Visiting several West Virginia schools throughout April, Ms. Filler will share her powerful message of safety, leadership, and resilience with thousands of students.
Drawing from the profound personal tragedy of losing her identical twin sister in a high-speed car crash the day before their 18th birthday, Ms. Filler has dedicated more than 20 years to youth advocacy. Having reached more than 2 million people across five countries, her presentation is designed to empower students to navigate peer pressure and make life-saving choices behind the wheel.
“We are happy to have Ms. Filler back in West Virginia for the second of three rounds of impactful presentations. She has already made a profound impact on our students, and we want to keep the momentum going,” said Jack McNeely, Director of the GHSP. “She uses a blend of humor and deeply moving storytelling. She avoids being the adult who tells them what to do, but instead provides them with skills to make their own positive decisions,” continued McNeely.
The tour is currently booking its final remaining slots for the 2026 season. Educators and administrators are encouraged to secure their dates quickly.
