Shirley Marie Myers

SHIRLEY MARIE MYERS, 75, of Colliers, WV died peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, at WVU Weirton Hospital. On this day, Shirley gave the gift of life to others, by being an organ donor. She was born on July 20, 1951, in New Martinsville, WV a daughter of the late Jake and Ruth (Walton) Cumbridge. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her uncle Kenneth Walton and grandparents who raised her and her sisters, Lillian Marie Walton and Harold “Daddyhole” Walton. As a mother and wife, she also cared for her beloved Shih Tzu dog “Molly”. Shirley had a love for collecting gingerbread men decorations and doll houses her husband made. Shirley would enjoy decorating them and bringing them to life, making each one special and unique as she was. In her spare time, she would put jig saw puzzles together with her husband or read Nancy Drew books. Nights she would spend next to her husband watching TV together or Hallmark movies. She will never be gone from the minds and hearts from her family and will live on forever more in their memories. They will love her and miss her every day now and forever. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John Solomon Myers at home; her son, Steven John Myers of Summitville, OH along with wife, Renee Myers and three daughters, Mystia, Alliandria and Cassiel; her daughter, Angela Marie Runyan and her husband, Keith Runyan of Williamsfield, OH; two sisters, Dorothy “Dottie” Duty with her significant other, Greg Hoskins of Philippi, WV and Nancy Reed and her husband, Don of New Martinsville, WV; and her aunt and cousin, Aunt Eleanor Henry with her son, Dave Henry both of New Martinsville, WV. Visitation was held on Monday, April 20, 2026 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Joseph F. Cuomo of the Christian Assembly Church of Follansbee officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately. Condolences may be left at www.mullenbachfh.com.
